The new clubhouse and grounds were originally scheduled to be handed over to us in May 2020. But, the record wet weather earlier in the year and, now, the "Virus" have contrived to delay the project. We had hoped to be operational towards the end of June but there is much uncertainty about when the club will now be able to open.

Major fundraising events scheduled for the Spring and early Summer have had to be cancelled. We were relying on these events to generate revenue to help us kit out the new clubhouse and grounds.

Already, our extended tenancy at Vauxhalls and variations to our building costs had created some financing difficulties for the club. There is no threat to the completion of the clubhouse, other than the term of the pandemic, but we are short of funds for many of the add-ons which we would like to include in the new premises. Every week without revenue-generating functions just makes the situation worse!
